Kuras biography. Vlad Kurasov

CHILDHOOD

Vlad Kurasov was born on March 13, 1995 in the city of Brest (Belarus). From childhood he showed interest in music and at the age of 6 he was enrolled in the art school of the Kuban Staronizhesteblievskaya village.

In 2006, the Kurasov family moved to the city of Krasnodar (Russia). Vladislav entered the Interschool Aesthetic Center (IEC) in the class of pop vocal and piano, as well as the Premiere Creative Association (Theater). In 2011, Vlad graduated from both institutions with honors.

In 2007, on the basis of the Krasnodar recording studio "MUZ", Vlad created his own ensemble, which successfully performed throughout the city and the region and took part in various competitions. Later the team broke up.

In the same year, Vladislav became a member of the Minute of Glory show on the Russian Channel One TV channel, where he sang Elvis Presley's song "Blue suede shoes", earning high marks from the jury. In 2008, Vlad took part in the International Festival of Humor and Variety Art "Moscow-Yalta-Transit". Vladislav is a laureate of many all-Russian and international competitions, including "Blue-eyed Anapa", "Starry Youth of the Planet", "Little Stars", "Eaglet Lights a Star" and others.

X FACTOR

Vlad found out about the Ukrainian show "X-Factor" through the Internet, having seen a television clip with a performance by one of the participants in the first season of the project. Vladislav began to follow the developments on the "X-Factor" and, having read that the casting of participants in the second season was being held, he immediately decided to go to Donetsk to try his hand. Despite the fact that Vladislav was only 15 years old, his mother calmly reacted to her son's decision, saying: "Do you want? Go!" On August 27, 2011, the STB TV channel aired a program about the Donetsk television casting, where Vlad performed Celine Dion's song "My Heart Will Go On". The audience gave Vlad a standing ovation, and the judges said four "Yes", allowing him to participate in the next stage of the competition. Vladislav successfully passed three qualifying stages (pre-casting, telecasting and training camp) and became a contender for participation in the "Guys" category under the guidance of mentor Igor Kondratyuk. During the fourth, decisive stage, Vladislav presented Mariah Carey's song "Without You" to Igor and his star guest Laima Vaikule. Both Igor and Laima were surprised by the choice of such a complex composition, but from the very first notes Vladislav dispelled all doubts of the judges that he could adequately perform this song. The path to the main stage of the TV project was completed, and Vladislav Kurasov became one of the twelve participants in the show "X-Factor-2. Revolution". On October 22, 2011, the first live broadcast of the "X-Factor" was released, on which Vlad brilliantly performed the song "Halleluja" by Leonard Cohen. She became the "calling card" of the young artist. The number of fans of Vladislav Kurasov began to grow every day. Vlad took part in all ten broadcasts of the "X-factor" and became its finalist, taking 3rd place according to the results of the audience voting. At the end of the project, he performed the song "I" m Walking Away "in a duet with British star Craig David.

STAR RING

On March 6, 2012, the Ukrainian TV channel STB launched the show "Star Ring", in which the finalists of two seasons of "X-Factor" and the vocalists of the show "Ukraine Got Talent" competed. On April 3, 2012, in a three-round confrontation, Vladislav overtook his rival Vyacheslav Korsak and advanced to the next round. On the air of the "Star Ring" on April 10, 2012, which, according to the decision of the channel's management, became the last one, the audience had to determine the name of the winner of this TV project. Vladislav performed his "calling card" - the composition "Hallelujah", trying to put new feelings into it. Vlad's performance did not leave the audience indifferent, and according to the results of the audience voting, it was he who became the winner of the Star Ring show and the owner of a prize of UAH 500,000. to shoot a video and record a song.

LIFE AFTER THE SHOW

In May 2012, the first solo mini-tour of Vladislav Kurasov took place, within which four concerts were held - in Lugansk (May 5), Poltava (May 19), Odessa (May 26) and Kyiv (June 9).

Before each concert, fan meetings were held, at which fans learned a lot of new and interesting things about the artist's work. He is an excellent conversationalist and storyteller, possessing self-criticism and a good sense of humor. Vladislav carefully and patiently answers all the questions of the fans and finds the right and warm words for everyone. On solo albums, Vlad opened to the audience a new facet of artistic talent - he is an excellent performer of not only lyrical, but also driving, dance compositions. Vladislav's repertoire includes world pop hits, which the singer makes so "his own" that his performance makes you forget about the originals. He kind of gives these songs new life.

At a solo concert in Poltava, the artist presented a new song to the audience, the words and music of which he wrote himself - "Farewell, my city." The official premiere of the song took place on June 22, 2012. On September 15, with a concert in Donetsk, Vladislav Kurasov began his second solo mini-tour in Ukraine. Donetsk was followed by solo concerts in Kharkov (September 22) and Odessa (October 6). Each of these events was bright and unforgettable. The euphoria of Donetsk, the energy of Kharkiv, the revelations of Odessa remained in the hearts of the audience... By tradition, the last and final in the second mini-tour was a concert in Kyiv. It took place on October 20 in the prestigious metropolitan club "Byblos". This time, Vladislav presented his second author's song "Zero Love Squared" to the attention of the audience. The audience received it very warmly and was looking forward to the premiere of the studio recording on the Internet on October 24th. This incendiary composition was immediately remembered and loved. The first author's works of Vladislav Kurasov are very different, and this speaks of the versatility of the artist himself, talented, "lyrical and expressive." After completing a mini-tour in Ukraine, Vladislav gave two concerts in Russia: in St. Petersburg (November 17) and in Moscow (December 1). The Russian audience received Vlad with great interest and warmth.

And right before the Moscow concert, the pleasant news came about Vladislav's victory with the song "Farewell, my city" at the competition organized by the "I'm Talent" project. This well-deserved victory gave Vlad the right to perform with an author's song on December 2, 2012 in front of an audience of 11,000 at the Golden Gramophone award ceremony on the stage of the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg.

COOPERATION WITH PC STB

Since December 2012, Vladislav Kurasov has been working in collaboration with the production center of the Ukrainian STB TV channel and already on December 22 of the same year, he acts as an invited guest on the stage of Ukraine's largest vocal show "X-Factor", where on the 9th air of the next season he presents the lyric composition "Whisper rain."

The next year, 2013, turned out to be extremely fruitful for Vladislav in the events of his creative life. For the debut single “Forget”, released in February, the first video of the artist was filmed already in March, directed and written by Maxim Litvinov (“X-factor”, “Ukraine has talent”, “Everybody dance!”), repeated winner of the highest award in the field of television of Ukraine "Teletriumf". Numerous rotations on radio and television, interviews on TV programs, online and press conferences, photo shoots, performances at the Novaya Maslyana festival, X-Factor pre-casting in the cities of Ukraine, and, finally, a solo concert of the performer in Lugansk, held on 25 May 2013 and became a bright and delightful point of spring excitement around Vladislav.

Contrary to expectations, the artist's touring life did not decline in the summer. Vlad's incendiary performance in Zaporozhye, at the city holiday dedicated to Youth Day, which was attended by about 20 thousand people, made many notice and talk about the young performer, and Vlad's performances at TV castings of the new season of the X-Factor show supported and gave strength to more than a dozen desperate applicants for participation in it. Without postponing business and new premieres on the back burner, on September 12, 2012, Vladislav will present a new author's song "Give me a drink." Almost immediately, the shooting of the second video for this composition (directed by Igor Savenko) begins and on October 8 the video appears on the ELLO channel on YouTube.

The production center of the STB channel announces Vladislav's large-scale October solo tour around the million-plus cities of Ukraine: Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kyiv. The tour included Vlad's ballet performance, accompanied by a laser show broadcast on graphic screens and a new program consisting of already recognizable hits performed on the X-factor and Vladislav's new author's songs written on the eve of the tour. But, unfortunately, the dreams of the fans were not destined to come true. Due to a severe injury (ankle fracture) received by Vlad almost a week before the first concert, the tour was canceled.

2014 - NEW SONGS, NEW VICTORIES

After a forced lull associated with the need to restore health, Vladislav returned to active creative and media activities. Already in January 2014, the video for the author's song "Give me a drink" became the winner of the competition program of one of the US music companies Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes. Kurasov's video work was selected by the company as one of the 11 best clips for live display, after which the competent jury determined the top three, commenting on each work and their decision. The clip "Give me a drink" was declared the winner unanimously.

Participating in competitions, TV shows, starting the rotation of his songs on ever new media resources, Vlad did not forget about his fans and their expectations and hopes. On March 22, having arranged another long-awaited Kyiv fan meeting for them, he promised surprises in the near future and, of course, did not deceive.

On April 7, 2014, the VKontakte social network hosted the premiere of Kurasov's new author's song - "I'm sick of you", a song that fans have been waiting for a long time, ever since the iPhone version of its excerpt was posted by Vlad on the Internet almost a year ago. The artist himself described it as his most personal and most honest composition. And, of course, it was accepted by the audience with incredible enthusiasm.

On May 6, 2014, fans were knocked down by another stunning news - Vladislav with his song “Give me a drink” became the winner of the International Songwriting Competition-2013, an international songwriting competition held annually in the USA, and earned the title of the 2013 International Songwriting Competition People's Choice Winner (winner of the International Author's Song Contest according to listeners). It is not the first time that Vladislav participates in such American contests - the author's songs "Farewell, my city" and "Zero love squared" participated in the international competition of author's songs in the USA Great American Song Contest. The composition "Zero love squared" made it to the semi-finals of the American international competition International Songwriting competitions-2012 in two categories "Dance Music" and "Under 18", and Halellujah (Leonard Cohen cover) performed by Vlad reached the semi-finals of the international music contest Unsigned Only -2013 in the category under 18 years old. In both cases, the compositions passed through a tough selection sieve: in all categories, more than 20,000 entries from more than 100 countries were submitted. Victories in competitions for Vladislav follow one after another, but the best reward for fans and a kind of exam or review of achievements are solo concerts of a young performer with their unique atmosphere and lively unique voice.

And so, on May 17, after a year's break, Vlad's long-awaited solo concert took place in the form of a creative evening held in the Kiev nightclub "B-52". This evening, like butterflies to a bright fire, to the talent and voice of their favorite artist, fans flocked not only from all cities of Ukraine, but also from several countries: Russia, Latvia and even the USA.

At the concert, which included 19 compositions, among which, in addition to well-known covers by European and American performers, there were also 7 songs by Vladislav, there were some pleasant surprises: the premiere of the new song "18", the author of words and music for which is Alexei Malakhov, blew up not only the fan zone of the concert, but the entire hall. Bright, driving, energetic - just what you need for the dance floor and spring mood! Without delaying the involvement of the general public in this firework of emotions, the very next day the track "18" is presented on the Internet and disperses throughout the worldwide audience.

The flywheel of the wheel of fortune is gaining momentum and on June 5, 2014, as a result of talent and tireless support by the fans of the beloved artist, Vladislav Kurasov is awarded the gold medal "Favorites of Success" for winning the competition in the "Young Talent" category at the "FreeDom" Concert Hall in Kyiv. 11th awarding ceremony for the winners of the Trademark Contest "Favorites of Success-2013".

The author claims that he is not worried about the fate of this song: “You know, this is the only song that was written not after certain events, but during them, while all these emotions still beat in me. I am an artist, I express myself through music, I say in songs what I don’t always have the courage to say in person, hoping that the addressee will hear it, and people will find responses in their souls. This is a love story that is close to everyone. For certain reasons, I did not want to finish writing and recording this song, much less show it to the world, but then I realized that if music was born from these feelings, I cannot hide it.

Vladislav's songs, including the recently released premieres, are actively rotated on the radio stations of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, the USA and are exploring new spaces, territories and media resources.

October 13, 2016, Vladislav Kurasov presents his new work - the single "Don't laugh in the face of fate". The song has been waiting for a studio cut for a long time and, finally, today it goes on the music air as the lead single of the young musician's debut album.

Vlad told why he chose this particular song out of the thirteen included in the album:

I fell in love with this track as soon as I heard it! My sister Elina wrote a great thing! That's what I love about songs - it stays in my head and carries a relevant message. It has a great beat. I trust my intuition a lot. I like this song, it leaves an aftertaste, it seems like you want to dance, you can't sit still, but at the same time you think: "What's the matter?! I'm grateful to my fate for what I have today and I can get tomorrow".

The ICONA Production studio has already completed work on the video, which will reveal the presented song from a completely unexpected side, present it from a different perspective: if the audience is familiar with Kurasov's “bare nerve”, then this time the matured artist is ironic, but still honest with the viewer.

Well, we ... We are waiting for new premieres and surprises. And they will definitely be.
After all: "My story is just beginning." © Vladislav Kurasov.

Album Reflection. November. 2016.

On November 23, Vlad officially presented his new album. We could print many beautiful words, but it seems to us that direct speech is appropriate in this case! Vladislav Kurasov writes: "It is with great excitement that I present my debut album Reflection. Music inevitably reflects everything that you have experienced, everything that you have encountered, whether it is fleeting joys or spiritual wanderings. I grew up, changed, developed, made a lot of mistakes, let bad people into life, and let go of those whom he loved, betrayed and forgave, was jealous to the nervous gnashing of his teeth, dropped his hands from failures, cried, laughed like a little boy, admired new travels, delved into himself, thanked a lot , took steps forward and returned to the past, experienced a lot of different emotions - all this is in my album. I am grateful to everyone who had a hand in my first experience. Thanks to my sister Elina Raskhodova, for three wonderful compositions that allowed me to reveal myself with new sides. Thanks to Natalia Rostova for four poems that laid down on my melodies and breathed another life into them. Thanks to TATAMUSIC studio and WMS Records, for being able to embody bring my ideas to life. Thanks to photographer Maya Maksimova for helping me express my message. Thanks to my manager Svetlana Oleinik, who has been with me throughout this time not only as a professional, but also as a good friend. Thanks to all the people who inspired me all this time, sometimes you were cruel, sometimes you flattered me too openly, sometimes I hated you, and sometimes I fell in love without memory. The emotions that you left in my life for two years, it was they that resulted in my songs, in my album. I remained as honest as possible in my lyrics and melodies. Today I'm 21 and I'm sure there is a lot more waiting for me, which I can tell about in my music and lyrics, but for now I want to show you my today's "Reflection", maybe you will see your own in it.

Valery Kuras Career: Musician
Birth: Russia

In the past, a recognized ophthalmologist and successful businessman, a collector of vintage rare cars and an extreme diving hunter, Valery Kuras is known to a wide range of viewers for his perky video filmed for the song Kapelka. On the TV screen, a sincere gathering of old friends over a cup of tea with a good song to the guitar. In the company of Kuras of paramount importance, the country's fat man Alexander Semchev, Kamenskaya's husband Andrey Ilyin, the enchantress Olga Budina and Vladimir Petrovich Presnyakov, but not with the usual sax, but with an accordion in their hands. The presence in the clip of Presnyakov Sr., the most authoritative figure in the music world, is not inadvertently in the distance. It was the legendary Petrovich who became the ideologist and inspirer for the novice singer, taking him under his father's care. Vladimir Petrovich introduced Kuras to the famous songwriter Andrey Pryazhnikov, who previously worked with the popular girl duo Daiquiri, known for the super hits Caution and You Love Melting. Pryazhnikov wrote a large number of songs included in Kuras' debut album, and Petrovich played saxophone parts. In addition, Presnyakov offered Kuras to bring some of his songs to life. It is known that Vladimir Petrovich makes such proposals very infrequently.

II. kitchen blues

The songs of Valery Kuras are a heart-to-heart conversation with adults, captivating with the clarity of images and the absence of vulgarity. This is a smart chanson that has nothing to do with a thug born in the Volga camps and capital prisons. The roots of Valery's work lie in the plane of spectacular, in-depth crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. And at the same time, Kuras' music is a kind of kitchen blues, kitchen blues, one that fits perfectly into the atmosphere of friendly gatherings in the kitchen under a veil of tobacco smoke and with songs accompanied by a guitar. Thanks to the organic simplicity and inner drive of Valery Kuras, many analysts come to the paradoxical comparison of the singer with Tom Jones or Adriano Celentano. Also, sometimes Kuras brings back to us the already forgotten feeling of early Leningrad, but, of course, without profanity and driveway lyrics, in that sweet period of time when Cord was under the influence of the aesthetic views of Igor Vdovin and Leonid Fedorov. The uniqueness of Kuras lies in the special sincerity of the performance of accessible and very emotional music. He is understandable to everyone, his skill and intelligence inspire confidence, and his directness and lack of pathos make you listen to him to the end. And take in.

III. A drop of good

The debut album of Valery Kuras Kapelka will include not only compositions written by Andrey Pryazhnikov. All songs turned out to be very diverse. Starting with completely chanson Kapelki, which rose to the first place in the Ukrainian national hit parade in just one week, Kuras is firmly moving towards intelligent blues. This is simple guitar music with elements of jazz, soul and blues. There are undoubted creative successes on the album Soul, Tell, Cosa Nostra, Most beloved. The last composition, according to Presnyakov Sr., is one of the best declarations of love in Russian music. Under the seeming simplicity of Kuras lies wisdom, behind the lightness and beauty of performance hide hard work and hourly service of the soul. As with everything in life, Valery treats music with absolute dedication, for all that, being an intelligent person, he perceives the world and himself with slight irony. It is significant for him not to become famous, but to say to people what they are waiting for, to hand over what they lack, to fill the voids in their lives and help them acquire harmony.

VALERY KURAS - OFFICIAL SITE OF THE CONCERT AGENT 123 SHOW. ORGANIZATION OF PERFORMANCE, CONCERT.

Valery Kuras was born on May 19, 1958. The boy's family consisted of busy people (father is a geologist, mother is a translator), therefore, like many of the same children of that time, the grandmother, the yard and the school were engaged in raising the boy.
Valera grew up as an energetic and mischievous fellow. 24 hours a day were devoted to football, hockey, swimming, athletics and ship modeling. At the urging of his parents, Kuras also took piano and singing lessons.
After reflecting on such hobbies, the young man decided that this was not his way through life. But playing the classical guitar was more to my liking. In 1976, Valery Kuras successfully graduated from a specialized school with in-depth study of the English language. According to the artist, it was not easy to do.
The second educational institution in the life of a chansonnier is a medical school, which he graduated with honors.
But the training didn't end there. The third place where Kuras entered is the Institute named after N.I. Pirogov. The energy and determination of Valery is simply amazing.
The student years passed with the singer: fun and exciting. As before, Valera is the soul of the company. His humor and simply open soul disposes many to him. In 1985, Valery successfully completed his residency and became the head of the operating unit at the Moscow Institute of Eye Microsurgery (S.N. Fedorov Center). Over the five years of work in this position, thousands of eyes have been cured. Valery was awarded the title of leading surgeon.
But Kuras did not stop there. His next goal in life was to start a pharmaceutical business. In the 90s, the surgeon embarked on the path of a businessman. Ups and downs, perestroika, crisis - all this accompanied Valera through life.
Music! What the boy could not develop in childhood (choral singing) has now found its embodiment - Valery Kuras has become a professional singer, a well-known and beloved chansonnier.
Currently, Kuras is the head of the foreign representation and a professional singer.

Today Valery is a famous and beloved Russian chansonnier. Fans are often interested in how they started and how the artist's creative and life path developed ...

The biography of Valery Kuras is very interesting and full of all sorts of events, most of which are the path to success.

Valery Kuras was born on May 19, 1958 in the Moscow maternity hospital No. 6. The boy's parents were busy people (his father was a geologist, his mother was a translator), therefore, like most people of that time, the grandmother, yard and school were engaged in raising the child.

The boy grew up mobile and inquisitive. Like all children, he played football, hockey, went in for swimming and athletics, but most of all he loved to create with his own hands - in the classes at the club of young technicians he enthusiastically modeled ships (at the first all-Union ship modeling exhibition, his nuclear-powered ship "Lenin" took pride of place) . Being a little older, he was fond of artistic inlay on wood (he made kitchen furniture from different types of wood, which is still a special pride of my mother).

At the insistence of his parents, Valera attended piano courses at a nearby club, sang in the choir, but considered that this activity was not for real "guys", and therefore could not stand it and quit. But he signed up for a classical string guitar course on his own. This lesson was already to their liking - with a group of guys at school they played the Beatles, the Soviet repertoire.

Young Valera managed a lot and, at the same time, in 1976 he successfully graduated from a special school with in-depth study of the English language, most of whose teachers were university educated and had progressive reformist views. Success, as it were, was "programmed" in his youth and signed up for the line of his future destiny.

This is probably why the first failure (failure in the much coveted "First MED" - medical institute) did not knock Valery "out of the saddle", but led to the adoption of a non-standard decision then - to graduate first from a medical school (and this is 2 years of study) and qualify as a "nurse ". Kuras graduated from college with honors and entered the Medical Institute (RGMI) named after N.I. Pirogov without any problems. He studied successfully and from the very first course worked as a paramedic on an ambulance (mostly at night). Despite the crazy workload, the student years were stormy, however, like everyone else! Study, work, love, entertainment, all at once!

And in childhood, and in youth and in adulthood, Valery Kuras was and remains the "soul" of any company. An erudite, needlework, charming, in general, very charismatic young man, with a wonderful sense of humor, well-versed English-Russian language, possessed an amazing magnetism, which always endeared himself to the people around him. All these qualities subsequently helped him to reach those peaks that he met on his life path. So, after successfully completing residency (1985) in ophthalmology and only one year of work, he was invited to work as the head of the operating unit at the Moscow Institute of Eye Microsurgery (S.N. Fedorov Center).

For five years of work at the Center, a result has been achieved - a leading surgeon who performs the most complex operations and restores sight to thousands of people! Colleagues appreciated, patients are grateful, management encouraged. But this was not enough for the restless nature of now Valery Demizovich. In parallel, he began to engage in the pharmaceutical business and, of course, achieved success in this field as well.

New for the Soviet people, but extremely exciting, risky and, of course, a profitable business, “business” eventually absorbed almost all the time of the born businessman. I had to make a choice, and he made it in favor of the business. And this is a bold and decisive step - the 90s, perestroika, the ups and downs of many beginners. I had to be in suspense all the time, explore new horizons, learn from others, including from their mistakes, at the same time make mistakes myself and correct myself. All this is difficult, but "very interesting"! It was this small “BUT” that provoked such an energetic person as Valery Kuras to part with his beloved profession. Well, here we have won! He became a successful and prosperous businessman, head of a foreign representative office. His life is still full - work, family, numerous hobbies, friendly gatherings. And as they say: “What else does a person need in order to adequately meet maturity?” It turns out you still need it! Valery is an active person, he could not stop at what he had achieved and did not want to! So fate again threw a "chance"!

Music! What the boy could not develop in childhood (choral singing) has now found its embodiment - Valery Kuras became a professional singer, a famous and beloved chansonnier.

VALERY KURAS. Brief press release

In the past, a recognized ophthalmologist and successful businessman, collector of vintage rare cars and a lover of extreme diving, Valery Kuras is known to a wide range of viewers for the provocative video filmed for the song "Droplets". On the TV screen - a sincere gathering of old friends over a cup of tea with a good song to the guitar. In the company of Kuras - the main "fat man" of the country Alexander Semchev, "husband of Kamenskaya" Andrey Ilyin, the beautiful Olga Budina and Vladimir "Petrovich" Presnyakov, but not with the usual sax, but with an accordion in their hands. The presence in the clip of Presnyakov Sr., the most authoritative figure in the music world, is far from accidental. It was the legendary "Petrovich" who became the ideologist and inspirer for the novice singer, taking him under his father's tutelage. Vladimir Petrovich introduced Kuras to the famous songwriter Andrey Pryazhnikov, who had previously worked with the popular girl duo Daiquiri, known for the super hits Caution and If You Love, You Melt. Pryazhnikov wrote most of the songs included in Kuras' debut album, while Petrovich played the saxophone parts. In addition, Presnyakov invited Kuras to perform several of his songs. It is known that Vladimir Petrovich makes such proposals extremely rarely.

The songs of Valery Kuras are a heart-to-heart conversation with adults, captivating with the clarity of images and the absence of vulgarity. This is a "smart" chanson that has nothing to do with the thieves born in the Volga camps and capital prisons. The roots of Valery's work lie in the plane of spectacular, in-depth crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. And at the same time, Kuras' music is a kind of kitchen blues, "kitchen blues", which fits perfectly into the atmosphere of friendly gatherings in the kitchen under a veil of tobacco smoke and with songs accompanied by a guitar. Thanks to the organic simplicity and inner drive of Valery Kuras, many analysts come to the paradoxical comparison of the singer with Tom Jones or Adriano Celentano. Also, sometimes Kuras brings back to us the already forgotten feeling of the early "Leningrad", but, of course, without profanity and "access" lyrics, in that glorious period when Cord was influenced by the aesthetic views of Igor Vdovin and Leonid Fedorov. The uniqueness of Kuras lies in the special sincerity of the performance of accessible and very emotional music. He is understandable to everyone, his experience and intelligence inspire confidence, and his directness and lack of pathos make you listen to him to the end. And understand.

The debut album of Valery Kuras "Droplets" will include not only compositions written by Andrey Pryazhnikov. All songs are very versatile. Starting with completely chanson "Drops", which rose to the first place in the Ukrainian national hit parade in just one week, Kuras is confidently moving towards intelligent blues. This is simple guitar music with elements of jazz, soul and blues. There are undoubted creative successes on the album - “Soul”, “Tell”, “Cosa Nostra”, “The Most Beloved”. The last composition, according to Presnyakov Sr., is one of the best declarations of love in Russian music. Wisdom is hidden under the seeming simplicity of Kuras, hard work and hourly work of the soul are hidden behind the lightness and beauty of performance. As with everything in life, Valery treats music with absolute dedication, however, being an intelligent person, he perceives the world and himself with slight irony. It is important for him not to “become famous”, but to tell people what they are waiting for, to give what they lack, to fill the voids in their lives and help them find harmony.

Vladimir Presnyakov - senior.

Beloved by thousands of music lovers of the post-Soviet space, the Russian chansonnier Valery Kuras, who gave the world the hit "Droplets", could have chosen a different path and not go on stage.

A successful ophthalmologist helped patients look at the world with wide eyes, and in his spare time he collected rare cars and went diving. He took place in a business that brought stable profits.

However, history does not tolerate the subjunctive mood: today Kuras has a huge army of admirers thanks to his vocal talent and soulful songs.

Childhood and youth

Valery Kuras is in the spotlight every day, but at the same time he is laconic and does not like publicity: he gives the minimum necessary information about himself.

On the official website, pages on Instagram and Facebook, Valery Demizovich repeats the facts of his biography, which are known to his fans. Journalists rarely manage to get an interview from a star, so they ask what Kuras was previously silent about. For example, about nationality. The surname Kuras is not Russian. Yes, and patronymic Demizovich is confusing.

The chansonnier revealed some secrets to journalist Tatyana Feoktistova, who asked if there were any Ukrainians, Jews or Gypsies in the Kuras family. The chanson performer was born in Moscow in the spring of 1958. The first voice of the future star was heard by obstetricians of the capital's maternity hospital No. 6.

Valery was brought up in a friendly, intelligent family, where his father, a geologist by profession, headed the design bureau at the Ministry of Geology, and his mother earned her living by translating from German and English.

The employment of the parents did not allow to control every step of the son, so the boy was taken care of and raised by his grandparents, as well as the yard and the school. Everything, like most children of that time.

When asked by a journalist about the origin of the surname, Valery Demizovich answered evasively, without shedding light on the roots. He said that his father was from Ukraine. As for the amazing name of the pope, who became the patronymic of the chansonnier, the secret lies in the convictions of the communist grandfather. This is his idea to encrypt in the name of his son the first of the decrees of the Soviet government - on peace and land.

Valery Kuras already in childhood showed versatile talents and the ability to achieve success in everything, no matter what he undertakes. Attending classes in the ship modeling section at the school of young technicians, he learned how to design ship models. So much so that at the first exhibition of ship modeling in the Soviet Union, the nuclear-powered ship, which the Muscovite named after the leader of the proletariat, won first place.

In the middle classes, the guy was fascinated by inlay on wood, and soon he gave his mother pieces of kitchen furniture that remained a pride for decades.

To please his mother, who adored music and singing, the son learned to play the piano and joined the choir. When he grew up and matured, he gave up choral singing, which, according to Valery, did not correspond to the image of “real guys”. But the guy considered the guitar a “male” instrument, so he graduated from the classical string guitar course and pleased the guys at the school disco with the performance of the Beatles hits.

Having received a diploma from the capital's special school, where students studied English in depth, Valery Kuras went to enter a medical university. The first attempt was a failure, but the guy did not give up and became a student at a medical school. After graduating with honors, he entered the Moscow Medical Institute. N. Pirogov. Valery managed to study and work part-time on an ambulance at night.

After graduating from a medical school and residency, in the mid-1980s, a young ophthalmologist got into the Svyatoslav Fedorov Institute of Eye Microsurgery, famous all over the country. After 5 years, Kuras became the leading surgeon. According to Valery Kuras, he performed 1,700 operations a year. And when he reached the “ceiling” in the profession, he switched to the pharmaceutical business and left the institute.

In the difficult 1990s, Valery Kuras managed to achieve success in business as well: he headed the foreign representative office in Moscow. But when Kuras reached the "ceiling" in this field, the soul asked for something new.

Creation

The first recorded song of Valery Kuras was the composition Cosa nostra. The singer gave it to close people, who became the first grateful listeners and fans. According to the chansonnier, the first impression of his voice heard on the magnetic tape is surprise.

The first large audience, before which Valery Kuras spoke, was the audience of the theater "At the Nikitsky Gates". The warm welcome of 250 listeners inspired the artist and pushed him to move in the chosen direction.

A wide audience learned about Kuras after the release of the first video filmed for the song "Droplets". Actors whose names are known throughout the country starred in it: Alexander Semchev and Andrey Ilyin, the charming Olga Budina and the master of the Russian stage Vladimir Presnyakov Sr. appeared. It was he - the most authoritative in the world of music and show business "Petrovich" - who brought Valery Kuras to the stage.

Song by Valery Kuras "Droplets"

Presnyakov Sr. introduced the aspiring musician to producer and songwriter Andrei Pryazhnikov, who, having appreciated the artist’s vocal abilities, wrote two-thirds of the compositions of the first album, released in 2005, for him.

The songs and manner of performance of Valery Kuras are called "smart" chanson. They do not have vulgarity and the notorious "blatnyak", this is a sincere conversation and worldly humor.

Chansonnier fans compare their favorite with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, whose songs immerse listeners in the atmosphere of "kitchen blues". Listening to Kuras, one recalls gatherings by the fire or in the kitchen, where old friends gathered for a sincere conversation in clubs of tobacco smoke. Good humor and sincerity run like a red thread through every composition of Kuras, there is no pathos in them.

In 2009, the performer presented the world with the 2nd disc, giving it the name "The Most Beloved". During this period, he fruitfully collaborated with the songwriter and People's Artist of Russia and Ukraine Alexander Morozov.

In the spring of 2013, the singer went on tour in a duet with his colleague Katerina Golitsyna. In memory of the deceased Mikhail Krug, Kuras included in the repertoire the composition "Bath on the Soviet".

The singer has been participating in chanson festivals since the early 2000s and is well known to music lovers along with Russian chanson stars Irina Krug, Fedya Karmanov, Anatoly Cloth and Willy Tokarev.

In 2016, Kuras's collection of songs The Very Best was released, which included 34 songs - both new and remixes of old, fan-favorite mischievous hits "Airplane", "Pampushka", "At a Man's" and "A Girl with Eyes the Color of the Sky".

Personal life

Valery Kuras reluctantly opens the pages of his personal life. When asked about the ideal of a woman, she says that she appreciates femininity and spiritual beauty. Love for a chansonnier is the best source of inspiration.

Such a source in the singer's work was his beloved wife, who gave birth to his son. Protecting the family, Valery does not disclose the details of his private life and gives a minimum of information about his relatives. It is known that the son received an economic education at a British university.
