Everyone knows that Bioware role-playing games have one interesting feature - you can, through various manipulations, achieve a romance with one or another character and even get to the so-called adult content like love lines in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Below we will briefly describe which character with whom you can start a relationship and what you need to do about it.

Cassandra

Features: fanatical about religion, so reproaching her for this should be avoided. Teasing remarks and teasing are best suited. It will be necessary to wait a decent amount of time before this character agrees to a romantic relationship. Naturally, nothing will happen if you do not complete a romantic task with flowers and romance.

Dorian

Preferences - Exclusively men.

Previously, there were no such precedents, but here we see the first magician in the game with a completely non-traditional orientation. Dubious entertainment, but if you really want to have fun, then there is such an option to choose from.

Joke, emphasize his courage, complete the side quest and get what you wanted.

Blackwall

A stern Gray Warden who can be found in the Hinterlands and recruited into a team. By the way, you can flirt almost immediately, and thus lure him to you, to the Inquisition.

The character is very trusting and easily leads to nice conversations with ladies who have not paid attention to him for a long time.

Sir

Preferences - Exclusively women.

Another character who received an exclusively non-traditional orientation. She has a great sense of humor, but inappropriate behavior and an extremely strange style.

For starters, you can tell her that you like her and then continue to chat with her from time to time in the Sanctuary tavern. The more you communicate with her, the more the character will be revealed from the other side.

Preferences - All genders and races;

This is a skilled warrior and spy, who is ready for any experiments for the sake of a good cause. Having started an affair with him, you will find out that intimacy for the Qunari is something that is simply necessary purely for physical needs, rather than for feelings.

In order for him to show interest in you, you will have to argue for a very long time and try to appeal to something remotely similar to romance.

Solas

Preferences - Exclusively elfs.

This character is only interested in representatives of his own kind. Moreover, in order to win the heart of a Shadow specialist, you will need to put in a lot of effort.

To succeed, support him and inquire about his preferences, support free mages, and lay flowers at Dalish shrines.

Cullen

Preferences - Exclusively elf or female human.

A character with whom it will be quite easy to flirt - you yourself will not understand how at some point a romantic relationship will begin between the characters.

Josephine

Preferences - All genders and races.

There are quite a few options for flirting with her, so it will be quite easy to start a relationship. The character has a playful nature and with the help of a sharp mind and diplomacy, you can achieve pretty good results.

With the rest of the companions and non-companions, you will not be romantically involved for one reason or another.

Dear friends, we bring to your attention translation of a short review dedicated love relationships in Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was posted by creative lead Mike Laidlaw on the official forum.

SPOILER WARNING! This post reveals a secret about all the possible romantic relationships that will take place in the game. If you want to keep the intrigue until November, then we warn you in advance. In case you want to know everything right now, then keep reading.

Let's take a moment to talk on romance in Dragon Age: Inquisition, what do you think?

It's time to ask: And why even reveal all the characters with whom it will be possible to have an affair? Wouldn't it be better to keep everything under wraps and let the players figure it out for themselves as the game progresses?» While some gamers understandably prefer to start games in complete ignorance, the truth is that the game Dragon Age: Inquisition huge. The story takes a long time to unfold, as does the development of the relationships players make with party members. As a result, you can lose for quite a long time before you find that a team member is not at all interested in a relationship.

Again, many prefer this kind of discovery. Also, many players themselves are not interested in romance with anyone. We have designed everything so that each party member has a worthy story for those gamers who show interest in them, in a romantic aspect or not. We realized, however, that for many players, love relationships are an incredibly important detail - one of those that we have allocated a lot of time to develop - and they prefer to be informed in advance in order to set their hearts on a certain character, only to be disappointed in the end.

In the water part, we will say a few words about the goals of developing love relationships: firstly, we want to give our players the right to choose. This does not mean that all choices will be available to everyone - it means that no matter what type of playable character you choose, there will be more than one option for possible love relationships for him. This does not guarantee that the player will find a certain character of personal liking - which could be the basis for starting a romance, even if every character in the game could have a relationship with anyone - but it perfectly makes it clear to each player what we think about them not retroactively.

Secondly, we want our characters to be full of character. Every significant character Dragon Age: Inquisition there is a story, personal goals, and ideas about how your journey together should develop; sometimes the romantic line doesn't matter to them, and sometimes it does. In any case, we are not trying to justify why the character cannot be the object of a love relationship - we are looking at what the meaning of this novel will be in the light of their further history, and how this novel will strengthen an interesting story.

Lastly, a character that is available for a romantic relationship does not guarantee a successful outcome. These characters have their own agendas and opinions, and the choices the player makes throughout the game will have a certain impact on how they feel.

With all this in mind, we want to inform you about who and with whom in the game will be able to start a love relationship. If you are not interested in this information before you plunge into the world of the Inquisition, consider this as a warning about SPOILER and read no further.

Still here? Then let's go.

Below are the main options for novels. These are available to players of all races, and fulfill our main design intent by giving multiple options for everyone:

    Cassandra- interest in male characters
    Blackwall
Josephine- interest in female and male characters
Iron Bull- interest in characters of both genders
    Sir- interest in female characters.
    Dorian- interest in male characters.
Two " additional» romance option was added to the game as a result of the extra development time Dragon Age: Inquisition. They are limited in scope mainly for reasons related to their history, but otherwise they are equivalent to the other options:
Cullen– interest in female characters of humans and elves.
Solas– only interested in elven female characters
All of the above means that our central actors - Varric, Vivien, Cole and Leliana won't be available for romantic advances. We know this may be disappointing to many of the fans who have shown interest in them, but we don't think they will lose out because each character will be drawn into their own meaningful story.

We can't wait for November when you can finally meet these characters, help them tell their stories, and explore this huge game with us.

Mike Laidlaw

It would seem that only the lazy did not mention the second part of Dragon Age with a dashing word, and it was for that: while the plot of the game was not inferior to its predecessor, the simplified role-playing system and the constant need to run through the same monotonous corridors dozens of times eventually divided the fans games on two camps, one of which argued with foam at the mouth that the innovations were for the benefit of the series, and the other advocated a return to more hardcore, so to speak, origins.

No wonder that on Dragon Age: Inquisition had enormous hopes for the return of the glory that the series gained with the release origins. And BioWare itself was well aware that not everyone liked the changes in Dragon Age 2. Announcing the final part, the developers immediately made it clear that the game world will not just absorb us - it will be possible to drown in it. And you know what? They succeeded in making this threat a reality.

Resurgence of the Inquisition

"They say only the Inquisitor has the power to stop this..."

Dragon Age: Inquisition is a game of truly outstanding proportions. If the previous two parts were albeit epic, but still separate narratives, as if cut off from the rest of the world, then in this game you really feel like the center of an unrealistically huge universe filled with magic, fascinating legends, legendary heroes, heroic deeds and an accomplished history. . Your story to be retold in these magical legends.

Even in such inhuman conditions, there is a place for flirting, sex and even high feelings. If you plan not only to decide the fate of the world, but also to build close relationships with subordinates in parallel, then our guide will come in handy. With him, you will turn into the main heartthrob of Thedas in no time.

There are eight potential partners in Dragon Age: Inquisition: Cassandra, Blackwall, Josephine, Iron Bull, Sulfur, Dorian, Cullen, and Solas. Each of them has their own tastes: someone prefers heterosexual relationships, someone is ready to get close only to representatives of certain races, and for someone it doesn’t matter if the person/dwarf/elf/qunari is good.

In addition, the heroes of Inquisition have their own beliefs and unique personalities. Therefore, it is important not only to be courteous and flirt tirelessly, but also to ensure that your words and deeds coincide with the views of the target. Religious Cassandra will not tolerate blasphemy, Blackwall will condemn any injustice, and Josephine will be disappointed in you if you decide to neglect diplomacy in favor of a military campaign.

If you liked one of the characters, talk to him more often. This way you will learn more about the biography and views of the character, and at the same time you will be able to compliment him. All this will positively affect your relationship and open up new opportunities for romance.

Cassandra

Partner:

Important facts: religious, wholly and completely supports the Church. Believes the Inquisitor is indeed Andraste's Herald.

Severe, resolute and impenetrable - approximately such Cassandra seems at first glance. But only at first: later you will discover that the Seeker reacts quite adequately to compliments, loves poetry and even enjoys sentimental novels.

It's easy to develop a relationship with her. First, ask her to talk about her past. In further dialogues, do not miss the opportunity for flirting. Every time you return to the base, do not forget to visit it. The main thing is to be careful in matters of religion.

Blackwall

Partner:

Important facts: appreciates mercy and help to the suffering. Believes that any villain deserves a second chance.

Blackwall is Justice personified with a beard. Tries to make the world a better place and highly values people who share his beliefs. Does not like big companies, prefers to stay apart.

The shortest way to his heart is through good deeds. If you're used to playing good heroes, you'll earn Blackwall's trust very soon. As soon as your relationship starts to develop from friendly to romantic, he will pull away. Do not give up - very soon the Gray Warden will trust you completely and tell you his main secret.

Josephine

Partner:

Important facts: believes that diplomacy is the best way to resolve conflict.

Chief diplomat in the Inquisition. Josephine is responsible for the political influence of the organization and seeks to expand it. Appreciates etiquette and manners, behaves courteously with everyone, although alone with the hero he is quite relaxed.

To win the sympathy of Josephine, it is enough to listen to her advice. At some point, she will ask you to talk to her best friend, Leliana. In a conversation with the main spy of the Inquisition, it is better not to lie - especially when she asks about your relationship with Josephine.

iron bull

Partner: Inquisitor of any gender and race

Important facts: loves good fights and booze. Works on two fronts - with the Inquisition and Qunari intelligence. He does not hide it, because he appreciates honesty very much.

The iron bull gets the same pleasure from gatherings in the tavern, and from battles on the battlefield. This good-natured mercenary takes everything lightly - if not lightly. Nevertheless, for the sake of friends, he is ready to risk his life, which he will prove more than once.

At first, the Iron Bull almost does not respond to compliments and flirting, but over time this will change. Be sure to ask him about the Qunari race and their culture. On your way back to base, don't miss the opportunity to have a drink with Iron Bull and his team of mercenaries. And yes, be honest.

Sulfur

Partner: female inquisitor of any race

Important facts: cynical and confrontational. An atheist, he cannot stand stories about religion and the lost greatness of the elves. He treats people well with a sense of humor, loves practical jokes.

Gray is difficult. Constantly impudent, mocking party members, stealing and responding to compliments with sarcastic witticisms. But there is an approach to it too.

Do not try to somehow limit and control it, otherwise quarrels cannot be avoided. Do not be offended by her attacks, but rather turn everything into a joke. If she is in your party, then always take the side of the poor, orphans and other disadvantaged.

Last but not least, although Sera seeks to protect the oppressed, she is ruthless towards the villains. Therefore, he would rather approve the execution than imprisonment or pardon. Remember this when you pass judgment on defeated enemies.

Dorian

Partner: male inquisitor of any race

Important facts: proud and caustic. He does not tolerate when his intelligence and magical abilities are called into question. Opposes the Tevinter Empire, from where he fled in his youth.

The magician Dorian almost always behaves arrogantly and distrustfully - at least with people he doesn't know well. He needs a partner with whom he could communicate on an equal footing. Therefore, in a conversation with him, do not hesitate to demonstrate your erudition and intelligence. In response, you can get a sarcastic remark, but you should not be rude in response - Dorian painfully perceives any criticism.

At the same time, the wizard tries to make the world a better place. He reacts sharply to any injustice, so you should not execute everyone indiscriminately and eat children. Dorian hates the Tevinter Empire and will appreciate it if you support him in this.

Cullen

Partner: elf woman or human woman

Important facts: trying to get rid of lyrium addiction. A supporter of the templars, not the mages.

Cullen is a former templar who is trying to return to normal life. He is at the head of the army of the Inquisition. Cullen is a soldier by nature, so he prefers military action to diplomatic negotiations.

Suffering from withdrawal symptoms after a long dependence on liria. His sore point is that because of this, he will someday let the Inquisitor down and be unable to fulfill his duty. Cullen will appreciate if you help him overcome his addiction and support the former templar in his decision to give up the lirium. Loyalty is very important for Cullen, so only heroes who are not related to other characters can start a romance with him.

Solas

Partner: elf woman

Important facts: inquisitive and respects the thirst for knowledge. He believes that there is no absolute evil or good, sees the world in gray tones. Sometimes it seems that he loves spirits and other otherworldly entities more than people.

Elf is a loner, a great expert in magic, history and mythology. He seeks to further expand his knowledge of the ancient world and treats well the people who help him in this.

Solas' approval is easy to get if you try to squeeze as much information out of the dialogue as possible. Ask him to talk about travel, magic, the Veil and the history of the elves. Give up categorical judgments about good and evil, because Solas believes that there is a place for sin and virtue everywhere. And most importantly - do not offend the spirits. He will not forgive this.
