A career takes a lot of time from a young singer who is used to working from an early age. After at the age of three she became the winner of the "Little Lady-Talent" contest and became the ward of the singer Irina Bilyk, her parents decided to move from Chernivtsi, where they had lived before, to Kyiv in order to provide her daughter with more opportunities for creativity. At the age of twelve, Alina went on her first tour, during the same period she recorded four solo albums, one of which became gold.
The young singer, having won the nomination "Child of the Year" in 2001, when she was only six years old, was recognized as "Person of the Year" - despite her young age, she took part in song contests along with adult performers. The industriousness and perseverance of this girl can only be envied - Alena combined her studies in high school with her studies at the Utyosov Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, so she received a certificate of secondary education simultaneously with a diploma, in which there were only fives.
At fifteen, Grosu left for the Russian capital and became a student at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography, and after moving to Moscow, Grosu continued to perform, record songs, and act in films. Her songs became more "adult", meaningful and mature, and director Alan Badoev helped her shoot videos for them.
However, the young singer had to interrupt her studies at VGIK - after finishing her fourth year, Alina left the institute and returned to Kyiv. The reason for this decision was that her mother at that time ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko, and due to the growing conflict with Russia, her daughter's presence there could interfere with her mother's plans. But they were not destined to come true - the elections turned out to be unsuccessful for the singer's mother, and then Alina Grosu returned to Moscow, where the singer and producer Grigory Leps became her professional patron.
She still maintains excellent relations with Irina Bilyk, consults about the choice of repertoire. Alena starred not only in her own videos - Grosu also tried her hand at cinema, taking part in the films "Very New Year's Movie", "Alice's Birthday", "Crime in Focus", "I Love My Husband", "Caged Bird" , "Officer's Wives" and "The Secret of the Cossack Temple".

"I don't feel older, I just got more serious"
- Alina, 20 years is, in fact, the first serious anniversary. How do you feel about this date? Do you feel like an adult?
I never thought about my age, did not try to appear younger or older on purpose. But at some point I realized: I am no longer 16. Surprisingly ... Time really flew by quickly. Right now, the most important thing for me is work. I don't feel older, I just feel more serious. I understand that I am not a little girl who, no matter what she sings, whatever she does, will look simple, cute and charming. I need to work much harder now to reach my highest point, the peak. I've been working for almost 17 years!
- Baby Alina Grosu's "adult life" began very early. Was it even childhood?
I have no definite concept of "what exactly should be childhood." Since ancient times, our grandparents from an early age worked hard from morning to evening on the field, did housework, all in order to help the older generation feed their families. In my case, childhood, of course, was more comfortable and cloudless. But from an early age, my parents taught me to know the value of money and how hard it is to earn. They taught that it is impossible to enjoy life without doing anything. And I was always doing something. My happiness is that I always really liked and like what I do. Even though I was given from the age of three to all sorts of creative, acting, vocal, mathematical, language and literary classes, I enjoyed doing all this. So I was not a "hurt" child.
"I don't want to be copied"
- For many girls you are an example. This is a great responsibility. What do you have to restrain yourself in order to justify the trust of the fans?
To tell the truth, nothing. I don't like to play in public and never do. For me, the most important thing is that a person remains himself! This does not mean that you need to give up, stop looking after yourself, do not work on small flaws. You need to improve every day. Need to plow! And if luck smiles or, God forbid, fame comes to you, you can’t turn up your nose, change for the worse, and even more so leave the people who were with you in not the best of times. This is unacceptable.
- Do you think every growing up girl should have an idol?
I really appreciate the fact that many girls like the way I look, that they are interested in my work, life ... But I don't want them to copy me. I never had idols. I believe that every person is an individual. And every individual girl is simply obliged to love and appreciate herself the way she was born.
"In Moscow I was also a bum"
- Alina, how is your acting career going? Which of the roles has been significant for you lately?
I'm not an actress, I'm just learning... on set. I really like my second profession. Now I'm shooting in a new project "Forgive me, love ...". I can’t say much yet, only that one of my songs will become the soundtrack to this picture.
And I consider the role in the series "Officers' Wives" to be significant, because for a very long time I dreamed of participating in the filming of a historical picture, not to mention being on the same set with such wonderful and talented actors as Maria Poroshina, Olya Arntgolts, Viktor Khorinyak and other.
- Are the directors satisfied with your VGIK training?
It is difficult for me to answer this question on behalf of all the directors with whom I have worked. If we proceed from the fact that I was approved at the castings and several times the same directors re-hired me to appear in their new films, they were probably satisfied. But still, I think that it is a little early to enter such powerful universities at the age of 15. At VGIK, I sometimes had to get used to the role of abandoned adult women, widows, prison guards, mothers of large families. And once in Moscow she was also a homeless person - she played the girl Zinaida without a fixed place of residence ... It seems to me that a child who views the world through rose-colored glasses, going through all this, will grow up sharply in an instant and withdraw into himself. Thank God this didn't happen to me.
- What do you think, do you need to further develop as an actress, singer?
I think Komsomolskaya Pravda would be the first to know if I had a desire to stop doing any kind of art. But this is impossible. After so many years on the stage, so many efforts, diligence, exhausting work, as well as the hope and love of those people who believed and believe in my songs, just leaving and betraying your fans, relatives and loved ones is a sin and a huge selfishness. The same applies to theatrical art.
They say that lately you have been invited to tour in other countries. Have you increased your fee on the occasion of growing up and being in demand?
Yes it's true. Now I travel a lot. In addition to Ukraine, in Belarus, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia and Georgia. But for me, money and fame is not the main thing. The most important thing is the recognition and love of each viewer.

"I was offered a hand and a heart"
- And how do they treat you today in Moscow, knowing that you come from Western Ukraine?
I am pleased that I am warmly received, very supportive and constantly send greetings to my native country.
- Can you say that now you provide for yourself?
Now yes.
What was your last big purchase?
I'm not a spender, but to work on stage sometimes you need to treat yourself to beautiful dresses and shoes. These are the ones I recently purchased.
- Where do you live more now: in Moscow or in Kyiv?
I'm on the road all the time. I don’t stay in one city for a long time, except to see my relatives and hold a few rehearsals. On my birthday, I will be filming in Belarus. But soon I will come to my beloved Kyiv to prepare a new program.
- After VGIK, did they make serious offers to you in Moscow?
The most grandiose proposal that they made to me in Moscow was a marriage proposal (laughs).
- Blimey! That is, today the heart of Alina Grosu is busy?
I won't hide. My heart is no longer free. I'm still a creative person, I can't live without love. I am happy, but we are still far from the wedding. Now the most important thing for us is work, I want to feel a little free from stamps, registry offices and family worries. Let our romance of beautiful dates last as long as possible. But in the future...
