Canon of Cyprian and Justinia. Orthodox canons

A wonderful story is connected with the holy martyrs Cyprian and Justinia in the Orthodox world. Their life biography is deeply presented in Orthodox literature. From a certain moment in life until the death of the saints, the complex cycle of events keeps you in suspense and takes your breath away.

It is amazing that sometimes you have to deal with many inexplicable things that existed in ancient times, also exist in modern times, but are hardly noticeable and do not manifest themselves as brightly as during the lives of Cyprian and Justinia. In the 3rd century (249−271) there was a massive division of people according to their religious worldview: some of them served and worshiped idol gods, others believed in God and glorified him.

From limitless sin to great holiness

Saint Cyprian was not always a saint. There were no prerequisites for this to ever happen. He was a great sorcerer. Almost the opposite person was Saint Justinia. From an ordinary girl she turned into a pious. The sorcerer Cyprian, who had amazing abilities, helped her in strengthening and devotion to God, such that there is hardly a person now who can repeat all this.

To the extent that he was an evil servant of the devil, he later surpassed his sinful nature and became an obedient servant of God. How many human souls he destroyed, so many he later brought to God and repentance. Of course, any of the sins that Cyprian committed already prescribes a place in hell for a person and this stigma cannot be erased in any way, despite any merits on his own behalf - such is the law. Is it the love of God for man, which is capable of cleansing all iniquity, forgiving him and, moreover, giving him the opportunity to succeed in collecting incorruptible wealth. This is what happened to the holy martyr Cyprian.

Justinia's Prayer against a Powerful Sorcerer

If you don’t delve into his life, you can confidently say that God’s plan to save Cyprian from death was a success. The demons showed their weakness at the moment when this former sorcerer organized a plan to seduce the beautiful maiden Justinia.

The dark spirits who were in his service for his great devotion to the devil, including himself, could not bring any harm to the illustrious saint, who overshadowed and protected herself with the sign of the cross and prayer. Seeing the inflexibility and invincibility of a weak woman, her heart, the sorcerer refused to participate in his evil deeds, was beaten by the devil for this and miraculously managed to survive. This happened thanks to the sign of the cross, imposed on oneself at the moment when death could have become inevitable.

Cyprian's repentance

He began to pray, asking God for forgiveness. Repentance began to manifest itself even more after Cyprian was baptized. The bishop who served in the church made him a deacon, and subsequently to even higher ranks. At this time, he helped turn to God people mired in the sins of sorcery, as he himself once did, and managed to turn many of them.

Execution of the Holy Martyrs

Subsequently, Cyprian and Justinia were executed for their faith, for confessing Christ. After fighting with each other and with the evil within themselves, they came together on one battlefield in order to suffer for the sake of the future good, to set an example for other Christians. This is how paganism was eradicated to a greater extent among those living at that time.

Akathist to the Hieromartyr Cyprian and the Martyr Justina

Cyprian and Justinia still help people find salvation. How could they defeat the ancient lawless serpent while on earth, much less will they do it for the salvation of brothers and sisters in Christ, being in the power and glory of the Savior.

Akathist to Cyprian and Justinia, what it helps with and what it protects from:

  • from attacks of evil spirits (direct attacks of demons);
  • from damage, magic, witchcraft, love spells, evil eye;
  • from ill-wishers;
  • from diseases.

They are always ready to provide help and support to every person who turns to them. The Akathist can be ordered at the Sunday Liturgy. This can be done on the day of celebrating the memory of saints, if there is a desire or need. The priest will not refuse a custom prayer even on a weekday. People who do this feel their help and support not only during the holiday, but throughout the year. Trouble will not touch such a person if you approach the day of veneration with reverence, diligence and attention.

The prayer begins to work instantly. While in church, a person is protected from evil spirits and their attacks. Possessed people in the church have attacks of possession. At the same time, if a prayer is said and the akathist is read to the holy martyrs Cyprian and Justina, there will subsequently be no trace left of the demons.

The thing is that this prayer is very powerful. After all, during their lifetime, the saints of God overcame with the help of prayer and zeal the most terrible and powerful spirits of sorcery, the leaders of the spirits of darkness. They overthrew their power in the name of God and the sign of the crucified Jesus. The Akathist only consolidates the effect of the prayer, strengthening it many times over, through the glorification of the saints, and through them, God.

No grandmothers will help you, especially for money, look for the prayer to Cyprian and Justinia against witchcraft and sorcery. It is long, on 4-5 pages, it will take 40 days to read, it will help. By the way, this prayer is Orthodox.

40 day human cleanse

The number “40” appears many times in the Gospel and speaks of rebirth, the renewal of a person after this time. What is significant about the number “40” in the spiritual world and how does it affect the lives of believers and non-believers:

  • For 40 days water poured from the sky and destroyed the antediluvian people;
  • Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days on Mount Carantal;
  • The longest fasts (Christmas and Great Fasts) last 40 days;
  • Believers pray for 40 days.

The effective power of the akathist

From the above it is clear how much significance prayer can have for 40 days, especially if you pray the akathist and fast. It is worth taking upon yourself the feat of 40-day prayer after agreement with the priest of the parish church. The blessing of the priest makes it possible to bypass all the sharp corners that a Christian may encounter.

One of the biggest problems is demonic temptation and can lead a person praying arbitrarily to worse consequences than the existing problem. The blessing makes prayer work easier. It is best to pray the akathist in a church meeting, then these phenomena can be completely avoided and the prayer will be intensified many times over.

In the Akathist to Cyprian and Justinius, the text with accents in the Old Russian version, translated from Church Slavonic, helps to better understand the meaning of the words and correctly glorify the saints.

Troparion, tone 4

And by character a communicant, / and a vicar of the throne, an apostle, / you gained your deed, inspired by God, / in a vision rising: / for this sake, correcting the word of truth, / and for the sake of faith, you suffered even to the point of blood, / Hieromartyr Cyprian, / pray to Christ God / save our souls.

Canon, Voice 4
Song 1

Irmos: Ancient Israel walked across the dark depths / with damp feet / and defeated the power of Amalek in the desert with the cross-shaped hand of Moses.

Chorus:

Now established with the Premier rites, O sacred and Divine head, / look down from Heaven upon you who sing piously / and preserve with your prayers.
In the darkness of ignorance, reverend, you are fiercely possessed / and you are kindled by the soul-destroying passions of the flesh through intemperance, / you suddenly found glorious transformation, all-blessed.
Glory: For in the seats of the destroyers you first sat, Father, / and in the seats of the presbyters you glorified Christ again, / having been changed by the Lord’s revealed Divine grace.
And now: The Virgin remained after the Nativity: / having given birth to the Creator of all and the Lord, / appearing to us in an unusual and strange body, / to the Mother of God Mother of the Ever-Virgin.

Song 3

Irmos: Your Church rejoices in You, Christ, calling: / You are my strength, Lord, / and refuge and confirmation.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

Like Paul, / having transferred your spiritual love to Christ, Cyprian was all-wise, / of whom you were a disciple.
Christ betroths you, / instead of passionate vestments, giving you the robe of glory / and the robe of rebirth.
Glory: The fasting monk was formerly patient, / later, Cyprian of all valor, / you were a witness of the Truth.

And now: Lordly and truly, we honor Thee, Mother of God, / for Thou didst give birth to God, / who was once flesh, the All-Immaculate.

Lord have mercy (three times)

Diligently punished for delusion, / like Paul, he was called from Heaven, / We instruct the cross to the light of knowledge, / for we kindle honest virgins with love, / for the sake of which you were united to the Creator of men. / Thus, having exposed the weakness of the enemy, / with it you were honored with the face of the martyrs, / Cyprians, fertilizer for the bishops, / pray to Christ the God of sins to forgive taxes / to those who honor your holy memory with love.

Glory, even now, to the Mother of God: In a multi-braided misfortune I fall / from enemies visible and invisible, / overwhelmed by the storm of my countless sins, / and, as if for my warm intercession and protection, O Pure One, / I flow to the refuge of Your goodness. / Moreover, O Most Pure One, from Thee Incarnate without seed / pray diligently for all Thy servants, / who continually pray, O Most Pure Mother of God, / beseeching Him to grant forgiveness of sins forever / to those who worthily sing Thy glory.

Song 4

Irmos: You have been exalted, having seen the Church on the Cross, / the righteous Sun, / standing in your rank, / worthy of crying out: / glory to your power, O Lord.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

Having awakened, O God-voice, from the first fury, / you denounced all the demonic flattery and soul-spirited charm and, rejoicing, you cried out: / glory to your power, Lord.
Justina is valiantly strengthened / and the Pure Virgin and the Joyful One earnestly praying / to escape the snares and snares of the enemy.
Glory: Strengthened by the faith of your Bridegroom / and clothed with the power of the Cross, / the demons are hidden, crying out: / glory to your power, Lord.
And now: Who by nature is free, / in the image of a slave, impoverished by the riches of goodness, Mother of the Ever-Virgin, / from You, according to Hypostasis, all humanity receives.

Song 5

Irmos: You, Lord, are my light, / you came into the world. / Holy Light, turn from darkness of ignorance / those who sing of Thee to faith.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

The champion of the Pure Mother of God, having become rich, Justino, / preserved her honest virginity without harm.
The animated Christ and the most beautiful image, / let us honor Justina, / intimate kindness and unstealthy devotion.

Glory: The Bride of Christ, ever present and undefiled, / having received suffering and fasting, / righteously wears the crown.
And now: The angelic and human mind cannot express / the indescribable and glorious miracle of Your Nativity, / All-Pure One.

Song 6

Irmos: I will devour Thee with a voice of praise, O Lord, / The Church cries out to Thee, / having been cleansed from the blood of demons, / for the sake of mercy from Thy side / with the flowing Blood.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

You have reached the depths of the wickedness of the underworld, / but to the extreme of virtue, Father, / you have ascended to the heights, / having been gloriously transformed by Divine Baptism.
You were a servant of demons first, / but you appeared to be Christ’s Epiphany disciple, / having loved the last desire with love.
Glory: You have brought many martyrs to the Lady, / demonstrating the greatest purchase, / purchasing the Kingdom of Heaven with the least blood, O God-Wise One.
And now: Break my captivity of sins, Bride of God, the sinful law, / Granting freedom to life by the law, / Who gave birth to the Lord of the law.

Lord have mercy (three times) Glory, and now:

Turning from magical art, O God-Wise One, / to the knowledge of the Divine, / you appeared to the world as the wisest physician, / granting healing to those who honor you, Cyprian and Justina: / with this you prayed to the Lover of Mankind / to save our souls.
Ikos: You have sent down your healing gifts to me, holy one, / and heal my ailing heart with sinful pus / with your prayers, / for now I will bring you the word of singing from my unclean lips / and I will sing to your illness, which you have shown, O holy martyr, / with good and blessed repentance and God approaching. / He was held by his hand, / you headed, like a ladder, to the Heavenly Ones, / constantly praying to save our souls.

Song 7

Irmos: Who saved Thy youths in the fires of Abraham / and, having killed the Chaldeans, / even grasped the truth righteously, / the revered Lord, / God of our father, blessed art thou.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

You entered the hierarchical leadership, / you showed the most sacred image as your hierarch and the rule, crying out: / blessed are you, O Lord, God of our fathers.
Your life-giving right hands are truly a change, Father, who has found, / made you wise, the Speaker of God, singing: / revered Lord, God of our father, blessed art thou.

Glory: We are an invincible weapon against the enemy, blessed, art thou who have appeared, / denouncing him of flattery, singing: / revered Lord, God of our father, blessed art thou.

And now: The heavenly faces and the heavenly cathedrals / sing hymns from you, the Mother of God, born, calling: / revered Lord, God of our father, blessed art thou.

Song 8

Irmos: Rejoice, O Jerusalem, rejoice, O ye who love Zion: / For the Lord of hosts has come to reign forever. / Let the whole earth stand in awe at His Face / and let it cry: / Bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

You neglected the wisdom of the Hellenic wisdom, O glorious one, / but the Divine broadcast of the apostles, rattled by the Spirit, father, / and clearly spoken with tongues of fire, you cried out: / bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.
You have risen up into the high and worldly light of the village, / offering to Christ the blood, as an immaculate sacrifice, father, / a living slaughter, pleasant and pleasing, singing: / bless, all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Glory: We are overcome by the indwelling grace in you, / the demonstrators are driven away and the passions of the ailing are driven away, God-wise, / we are satisfied with the return of the Divine light, crying out: / bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

And now: They rejoice with the Angelic powers, O Most Pure One, at Thy Nativity, O Mother of God, / and those who call Thee Theotokos by faith: / For Thou hast given birth to us as a Master and Savior, to Him we sing: / Bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Song 9

Irmos: Eve, through the disease of disobedience, / instilled an oath, / But You, Virgin Mother of God, / Through the vegetation of womb-bearing, You have flourished and the blessing of the world has flourished, / Thus we all magnify You.

Chorus: Hieromartyr Cyprian and Martyr Justino, pray to God for us.

Above us, who piously sing thee, thou art admiring thee with Divine grace, / by thy prayers, O God-speaker, and crowning with the weapon of benevolence, / grant us peace and salvation, / as the most divine clergyman.
The flow of healing abundantly rewards your dust to those who love you; / for you, Cyprians, the God-bearing wives, as they accept the Divine treasure / and diligently reveal the hidden, / so that we may all enjoy it for you.

Glory: Direct our procession to Christ, O rich one, through deeds, / and a life pleasing to God, and the purest purification / imploring God’s quietness, as a most compassionate hierarch.

And now: Strengthen our spiritual weakness, O Mother of God, by Thy power, / resolve the burden, O Most Holy One, imposed by Thy servant, / the Sun that has risen unspeakably upon the world of righteousness.

Among the Magi, there is no judgment and one is greater, / who has lost his temper and burned the books instructing in delusion, / and the testimony of the crown of strangely received, / Let us praise Cyprian, the mirror of the sufferers.
Glory, and now: The deity of old, who deceives me with hope, deceives me, / with a dense offer, in a wise way, he is seduced by the Virgin Who Rises; / and the dense condemnation of the flesh was resolved, / slain to death.

O holy servant of God, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for all who come running to you! Accept this praise from us, the unworthy; ask the Lord God for strength in weaknesses, for consolation in sorrows, and for all that is useful in our life; Offer up your powerful prayer to the Lord, may he protect us from the falls of sin, may he teach us true repentance, may he deliver us from the captivity of the devil and all the actions of unclean spirits and tame those who offend us.

Be a strong champion for us against all enemies, visible and invisible; grant us patience in temptation and at the hour of our death, show us intercession from the torturers at the aerial ordeals; May we, led by you, reach the Mountain of Jerusalem and be worthy in the Heavenly Kingdom with all the saints to glorify and sing the holy name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

About the holy martyr Cyprian and martyr Justina! Hear our humble prayer. Even though you naturally died as a martyr for Christ during your temporary life, you do not depart from us in spirit, always following the commandments of the Lord, teaching us and patiently bearing your cross with us.

Behold, boldness towards Christ God and His Most Pure Mother was acquired by nature. Even now, be prayer books and intercessors for us, the unworthy (name of the rivers). Be our intercessors of strength, so that through your intercession we may remain unharmed from demons, wise men and evil men, glorifying the Holy Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer to the Hieromartyr Cyprian

O holy saint of God, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for all who come running to you. Accept our unworthy praise from us and ask the Lord God for strength in our infirmities, healing in illnesses, consolation in sorrows, and everything useful in our life. Offer up to the Lord your prayer filled with goodness and strength, may He protect us from our sinful falls, may He teach us true repentance, may He deliver us from the captivity of the devil and all influence of unclean spirits, and protect us from those who offend us.

Be a strong helper for us against all enemies, visible and invisible, in temptation give us patience and at the hour of our death show us protection from the torturers in our aerial ordeals, so that, led by you, we will reach the Heavenly Jerusalem and be worthy in the Heavenly Kingdom with all the saints to glorify and sing the All-Holy the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer to Saints Cyprian and Justina

O holy martyr Cyprian and martyr Justina! Hear our humble prayer. After all, although you ended your temporary life with martyrdom for Christ, you do not depart from us in spirit, always teaching us to walk according to the commandments of the Lord and helping us to patiently carry our cross.

Behold, you have acquired boldness before Christ God and His Most Pure Mother, therefore now be prayer books and intercessors for us, unworthy (names). Be strong intercessors for us, so that through your intercession we may be preserved without harm from demons, magicians and evil people, glorifying the Holy Trinity: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Sometimes a person falls under the influence of dark forces, becomes a victim of damage or the evil eye, without having the slightest idea about it. The Akathist to Cyprian and Justina should be read precisely in such cases.

General information and history

Saints Cyprian and Justina come to the aid of a person who has suffered from the influence of dark and evil forces. They will help him cope with the obstacles that unexpectedly befell him. Since this text belongs to the genre called “akathist”, it is recommended to recite it while standing, since this is how you should ask the saints for help and protection.

Some Christians, before saying such a prayer, prefer to make sure that they have been damaged. The main features include the following:

  • loss of appetite and pain throughout the body;
  • sudden fear, anxiety;
  • often manifested and at the same time groundless irritability, aggression;
  • desire to commit suicide;
  • severe mental anguish that torments a person for no reason;
  • the appearance of “alien voices” in the head (auditory hallucinations);
  • insomnia. However, in some cases, a person constantly wants to sleep, yawns and, in principle, feels exhausted.

If some akathists are allowed to be recited exclusively in the morning, then this song is read at any time. The only exception may be church posts.

In order for the akathist to help you get rid of dark forces, you need to put all your thoughts and faith in its effectiveness while reading it. It is very important to correctly place stress in words. This way you will achieve what you set out to do. Even if in the process of reading the prayer you have not the best thoughts in your head, you should not stop under any circumstances - the akathist dedicated to Saints Cyprian and Justina must be read to the end.

Nowadays, godless people often turn to various magicians and fortune-tellers, trying to harm their relatives, take revenge on them for wrongs caused, or trying to win someone over. In this case, a special program is installed - damage. It is aimed at causing harm to a person or even provoking his death.

The essence of the story described in the akathist lies in the fact that Cyprian once lived in Antioch and was a pagan. Moreover, he was considered a sorcerer who could send demons to people. One day a rich young man named Aglaid approached him. He wanted to punish the girl (Justina) with whom he was in love, but who did not reciprocate his feelings. However, Cyprian's attempts came to nothing. He realized the horror of his actions, understood the power of the Lord, and renounced his actions and accepted Christianity. Cyprian became a bishop, and Justina went to a monastery, where she served as abbess. The two of them suffered martyrdom for Christ.

What is remarkable about the akathist dedicated to Cyprian and Justina is that it is a kind of “shield” that can protect a person from dark and evil spells. But for prayer to really help, it is very important to isolate yourself from everything and put all your thoughts into the chant. Only in this case, saying such a prayer will give the desired result, and your physical and mental well-being will significantly improve.

In this video you can listen to an audio recording of the akathist to the holy martyr Cyprian and holy martyr Justina.

Chosen from the devil's service to serve the true God and numbered among the saints, Hieromartyr Cyprian, pray to Christ God to deliver us from the snares of the evil one and conquer the world, the flesh and the devil, so we call to you: Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer for our souls.

The angelic powers were amazed at how you turned from magical art, God-wisdom, to the knowledge of the Divine, and through repentance you gained an angelic, passionless life. We, marveling at your conversion, cry out to you like this: Rejoice, you astonished the angels with your conversion; Rejoice, joyful face of the saints. Rejoice, you who have shown your wisdom: Rejoice, you who have received a crown for Christ. Rejoice, for by you demons are driven away; Rejoice, for through you illnesses are healed. Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer for our souls.

Turning from magical art, O wise God, to the knowledge of the Divine, you appeared to the world as the wisest physician, granting healing to those who honor you, Cyprian, with Justina, with whom you prayed to the human-loving Lady to save our souls, singing: Alleluia.

Having a mind imperfect in understanding the Divine truth, in the blindness of the pagan existence, studying demonic tricks, you worked diligently. But having realized that they were afraid of the Cross of the Lord, you knew the weaknesses of the demons, and turning away from the service of the evil one, you came to the Temple of the Lord, for this reason we call you: Rejoice, you who have studied the cunning of the demons; Rejoice, you who expose the delights of his ministry. Rejoice, you who put to shame the evil serpent; Rejoice, wisest of the wise of this world. Rejoice, thou most intelligent of the wisest; Rejoice, holy martyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

The power of the Most High has enlightened your mind, Cyprian, when, having no success in the sorcery of Aglaid to Justina, the demons cried out to you: “We are afraid of the Cross and we lose strength when we pray to Justina.” He said to them: “If you are afraid of the Cross, then the one crucified on the Cross is more terrible for you,” and having recognized the weakness of demons, he entered the temple of the Lord with all the faithful: Alleluia.

Having a mind enlightened by the power from above, Cyprian went to the bishop, asking for baptism, but he was afraid and refused him. The saint, going to the temple of the Lord and standing at the Liturgy, did not leave the temple to eat, when the deacon exclaimed: “Catechumens, come out. “I will not leave the temple,” Cyprian said to the bishop, “until you baptize me.” We, rejoicing at your admonition, sing to you like this: Rejoice, enlightened by the power from above; Rejoice, admonished by the Lord. Rejoice, having learned the power of the Cross. Rejoice, having driven away demons from yourself. Rejoice, you who have corrected your life; Rejoice, directing your steps to the Church. Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

A storm of thoughts has overcome you: how to hide baptism. We took all our magical books, the saint piled them up in the middle of the city and burned them, singing to God: Alleluia.

Having heard about you, the bishop put on Christ about your good intentions, baptized you and made you a reader in the temple of God. For this reason we cry out to you: Rejoice, conqueror of the spirits of evil; Rejoice, scorch of sorcery books; Rejoice, thou who desired to be a Christian; Rejoice, having received holy baptism. Rejoice, you who were instructed by a bishop; Rejoice, thou appointed as a reader in the temple. Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

Having received the richly woven robe of holy baptism, O Cyprian, you earnestly prayed to God for the forgiveness of sins previously committed, tirelessly singing to God: Alleluia.

The bishop saw your exploits and labors, Hieromartyr Cyprian, fasting, many-night vigils, kneeling, tearful prayers, and after a month he made you a deacon. We, thanking God, praise you: Rejoice, you who cried out to God day and night; Rejoice, you who stretched out your hands to Him. Rejoice, you who asked for His forgiveness; Rejoice, you who bring tearful prayers to Him. Rejoice, you who have shown fiery love for God; Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

You appeared as a preacher of the truth of Christ, the glorious holy martyr Cyprian, jealous of the apostles who saw God, enlightening people with the teachings of Christ, and they, having come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, sing to God: Alleluia.

The light of Divine grace has risen in your heart, Cyprian, lifting you to the heights of spiritual perfection, reaching the priestly rank, and later being ordained a bishop. For this reason, with your prayers to the Lord, enlighten our hearts, warmly praying to you: Rejoice, consecrated bishop; Rejoice, thou exalted to the height of an eagle. Rejoice, city standing at the top of the mountain; Rejoice, lamp burning before God. Rejoice, tireless prayer book to God; Rejoice, teacher bestowed by God. Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

Although the Lord, the Lover of mankind, saved everyone by giving us a wondrous prayer book, intercessor and healer from the spirits of wickedness in high places, by your deeds and words you led many to repentance and correction of sinful lives, teaching everyone to sing to God: Alleluia.

You have appeared to the world, the wisest new doctor, Hieromartyr Cyprian, because no magical deeds can resist your prayer, they are now destroyed and driven away by evil people and crafty demons. We, seeing such God’s power in you, cry out to you: Rejoice, destroyer of magical wiles; Rejoice, driver of terrible demons. Rejoice, for from you the spirits of evil disappear like smoke; Rejoice, those who are seriously tormented are soon left behind. Rejoice, thou who quickly deliverest from troubles and sorrows; Rejoice, turning suffering into joy. Rejoice, Hieromartyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

A strange miracle comes to you with faith, Hieromartyr Cyprian, for by the grace given to you from God to cast out unclean spirits that torment a person, demons are cast out, the sick are healed and sing to God: Alleluia.

You surrendered to God with all your heart and loved Him with all your soul, directing all your diligence and desire to fulfill His will, but you, like a good shepherd, did not reject those aggravated by troubles; but you intercede in prayers before the Lord, giving healing and consolation. We, praising your love for God, cry to you: Rejoice, you who loved Christ with all your heart; Rejoice, full of virtues. Rejoice, help for the sick and weakened; Rejoice, consolation in sorrows and sorrows. Rejoice, you who drive away slander and temptations from the world, the flesh and the devil; Rejoice, healer of all mental and physical illnesses. Rejoice, holy martyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

The entire angelic army rejoiced, seeing you as a warrior of the Heavenly King, unshakable and preaching Christ with boldness, when you were led to the sword section along with Justina. You are painful for her, so that she will not renounce Christ when she sees you beheaded, you admonished the tormentors, so that first, and because of her, they will behead you, bow your head under the sword, they sang to God of nature: Alleluia.

The stories of multi-proclamation will not be able to adequately praise your suffering for Christ, they were not naturally afraid of the cruel reproaches, but with bright faces they presented themselves to the court of the Tsar, exhorting all the faithful to sing to you: Rejoice, confessor of the unshakable faith of Christ; Rejoice, O Most Holy Trinity, for the boldness of the preacher. Rejoice, you who imputed the cruel torment to nothing; Rejoice, your sufferings are magnified in the temples of God. Rejoice, holy martyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

Although you could save the souls of all those possessed by unclean spirits, you did not cease to cry out to the Lord, Hieromartyr Cyprian, for you have been given the grace to pray for us, so that we may be merciful and cleansed and sing to God: Alleluia.

Be a solid and strong fence for us, Hieromartyr Cyprian, from enemies, visible and invisible, who come running to you with warm faith and love, so that we may be protected and saved by you, let us sing to you: Rejoice, conquering the spirits of evil by humility; Rejoice, you who burned the arrows of the enemy with the fire of prayer. Rejoice, wall and fence from enemies visible and invisible; Rejoice, glorious adornment of the Orthodox Church. Rejoice, wonderful help left by the doctors; Rejoice, beloved consolation for those who mourn. Rejoice, holy martyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

You brought unceasing singing to the Most Holy Trinity more than others, Hieromartyr Cyprian, for the Lord’s mercy to fallen sinners, Who deigned to make the unworthy worthy and be numbered with His holy flock. We, thanking God for such mercy towards us sinners, call to Him: Alleluia.

You were a luminous light, God-wise, in the Church of Christ, illuminating the souls of the faithful with immaterial light. Enlighten our hearts, burdened with sin, who sing like this: Rejoice, for the Lord has shown His mercy to fallen sinners on you; Rejoice, you brought food from the pit of destruction like a lost sheep. Rejoice, thou createdst from the unworthy to the worthy; Rejoice, numbered with the holy flock of Christ. Rejoice, for you enlighten souls with immaterial light; Rejoice, you guide those who are lost to the right path. Rejoice, Holy Martyr Cyprian, quick helper and prayer book for our souls.

Song 1.

Irmos:

Ancient Israel walked across the dark abyss with damp feet and defeated the power of Amalek in the desert with the cross-shaped hands of Moses.

Now established with the Pre-Peaceful ranks, O sacred and Divine head, look down from Heaven upon you who sing piously and preserve with your prayers.

In the darkness of ignorance, reverend, you are fiercely possessed and you are kindled by the soul-destroying passions of the flesh through intemperance; you have suddenly found glorious transformation, O all-blessed one.

In the seats of the destroyers, Father, you first sat in the seats, and in the seats of the presbyters you glorified Christ again, having been changed by the Lord’s revealed Divine grace.

Theotokos: The Virgin remained after the Nativity: having given birth to the Creator of all and the Lord, you appeared to us in an unusual and strange body, the Mother of God of the Ever-Virgin.

Song 3.

Irmos:

Your Church rejoices in You, Christ, calling: You are my strength, Lord, and refuge, and confirmation.

Like Paul, who gave up his spiritual love to Christ, Cyprian of all wisdom, you were his disciple.

Christ betroths you, instead of passionate vestments, the robe of glory, bestowing the robe of rebirth.

The fasting monk was formerly patient, but later, the all-valid Cyprian, you were a witness of the Truth.

Theotokos: Lordly and truly, we honor Thee, Mother of God, for Thou didst give birth to God, the former flesh, the All-Immaculate.

Sedalen, voice 8.

Diligently punished for delusion, like Paul, he was called quickly from Heaven, We instruct the Cross to the light of knowledge, we kindle honest virgins with love, for this sake you were united to the Creator of men. Thus, having exposed the weakness of the enemy, with it you were honored with the face of the martyrs, Cyprian, fertilizer of the bishops, pray to Christ the God of sins to leave taxes to those who honor your holy memory with love.

Theotokos: In a multi-braided misfortune, falling from enemies visible and invisible, I am overwhelmed by a storm of my countless sins, and, as if for my warm intercession and protection, Pure One, I flow to the refuge of Your goodness. Moreover, O Most Pure One, from You Incarnate without seed, pray diligently for all Your servants, who continually pray to the Most Pure Mother of God, beseeching Him to grant forgiveness of sins to those who deservedly sing Your glory.

Holy Cross: They behold the Lamb and the Shepherd and the Savior on the Cross, exclaiming, weeping, and bitterly weeping, crying out: the world rejoices, having received Your deliverance, but My womb burns, beholding Your crucifixion, enduring mercy for mercy. Long-suffering Lord, abyss of mercy and inexhaustible source, have mercy and grant forgiveness of sins through faith to those who sing Your Divine Passion.

Song 4.

Irmos:

You are exalted, having seen the Church on the Cross, the righteous Sun, standing in its rank, worthy of crying out: glory to your power, Lord.

Having awakened, O God-voice, from the first fury, you denounced all the demonic flattery and soul-spirited charm and, rejoicing, you cried out: glory to your power, Lord.

We valiantly strengthen Justina and the Pure Virgin and the Delighted One, earnestly praying to escape the snares and snares of the enemy.

Strengthened by the faith of your Bridegroom and the robe of the Cross, the demons are obscure, crying, and remain: glory to Your power, Lord.

Theotokos: Who by nature is free, but by the image of a slave is impoverished by the wealth of goodness, Mother of the Ever-Virgin, from You, according to Hypostasis, receive all humanity.

Song 5.

Irmos:

You, Lord, are my light, you have come into the world, Holy Light, turn those who sing of You from the darkness of ignorance to faith.

The champion of the Pure Mother of God, having become rich, Justino, preserved her honest virginity without harm.

The animated Christ and the most beautiful image, let us honor Justina, her hidden kindness and unstealthy devotion.

The Bride of Christ, ever present and undefiled, having received suffering and fasting, righteously wears the crown.

Theotokos: The angelic and human mind cannot express the indescribable and glorious miracle of Your Nativity, O All-Pure One.

Song 6.

Irmos:

I will devour Thee with a voice of praise, Lord, the Church cries out to Thee, having been cleansed of demonic blood, for the sake of mercy the Blood flowed from Thy side.

You have reached the bottom of the underworld with malice, but to the extreme of virtue, Father, you have ascended to the heights, having been gloriously transformed by Divine Baptism.

You were a servant of demons first, but you appeared to be Christ's Epiphany disciple, having loved the last desire with love.

You brought many martyrs to the Lady, showing the greatest purchase, buying the Kingdom of Heaven with the least blood, O God-Wise One.

Theotokos: Break my captivity of sins, Bride of God, the sinful law, Granting freedom to life by the law, giving birth to the Lord of the law.

Kontakion, tone 1.

Turning from magical art, O God-Wise One, to the knowledge of the Divine, you appeared to the world as the wisest physician, granting healing to those who honor you, Cyprian and Justina: now pray to the Lover of Mankind, the Lady, to save our souls.

Ikos.

You have sent down your healings, holy gifts, to me, and heal my ailing heart with the pus of sin with your prayers, for now I will bring the word of singing from my unclean lips to you and sing to your illness, which you have shown, O holy martyr, through good and blessed repentance and approaching God. He was held by his hand and walked like a ladder towards the Heavenly Ones, constantly praying to save our souls.

Song 7.

Irmos:

Having saved Thy youths in the fires of Abraham, and having killed the Chaldeans, even having righteously grasped the truth, blessed art Thou, O Lord, God of our father.

You entered the sacred leadership, the most sacred image of the priestly leader and you showed the rule, crying: blessed Lord, God of our fathers, blessed are you.

Your life-giving right hands are truly a change, Father, who has found wisdom, make you a Divine Speaker, singing: O revered Lord, God of our fathers, blessed art thou.

An invincible weapon against us against the enemy, blessed art thou who art appeared, rebuking him with flattery, singing: O revered Lord, God of our father, blessed art thou.

Theotokos: The heavenly faces and the heavenly cathedrals sing hymns from You, the Mother of God, the Born One, calling: O revered Lord, God of our father, blessed art thou.

Song 8.

Irmos:

Rejoice, O Jerusalem, rejoice, O ye who love Zion: for the Lord of hosts has come to reign forever. Let the whole earth stand in awe at His Face and cry out: Bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

You neglected the wisdom of the Hellenic wisdom, O glorious one, but the Divine broadcast of the apostles, rattled by the Spirit, Father, and clearly spoken by tongues of fire, you cried out: bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Thou hast risen to the high and worldly bright village, to offer the blood of Christ, as an immaculate sacrifice, Father, a living slaughter, pleasant and pleasing, singing: bless, all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

We are overcome by the indwelling grace in you, the demonstrators are driven away and the passions of the ailing are driven away, God-wise, we are satisfied with the faithfulness of the Divine light, crying out: bless, all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Theotokos: They rejoice with the Angelic powers, O Most Pure One, at Thy Nativity, Mother of God, and the Mother of God, who call Thee by faith: For Thou hast given birth to us as a Master and Savior, to whom we sing: bless, O all the works of the Lord, the Lord.

Song 9.

Irmos:

Eve, through the illness of disobedience, instilled an oath, but You, Virgin Mother of God, through the vegetation of womb-bearing and the blessing of the world, you have flourished, therefore we all magnify You.

Above us, who piously sing thee, admiring thee with Divine grace, through thy prayers, O God-speaker, and crowning with the weapon of favor, grant us peace and salvation, as the Most Divine Hierarch.

The flow of healing abundantly rewards your dust to those who love you; To you, Cyprians, the God-bearing wives, as they accept the Divine treasure and diligently reveal the hidden, may we all enjoy it for you.

To direct our procession to Christ, O rich one, through deeds, through Godly life, and through the purest purification, implore God’s quietness, as a most compassionate hierarch.

Theotokos: Strengthen our spiritual weakness, O Mother of God, with Your power, resolve the burden, O Most Holy One, imposed by Your servant, the Sun that has risen unspeakably to the world of truth.

Luminous.

Among the Magi, there is no judgment and one is greater, having changed the character and burned the books instructing in delusion, and the testimony of the crown of the strangely received, we praise Cyprian, the mirror of the sufferers.

Theotokos: The ancient deity of hope, deceiving me, deceiving me, with a dense proposal, in a wise way, is again seduced by the Virgin Who Rised; and the dense condemnation of the flesh was resolved, death was slain.

Voice 4.

Song 1

Irmos: Ancient Israel walked across the dark abyss with damp feet and defeated the power of Amalek in the desert with the cross-shaped hand of Moses.
